Is andruw jones a failure in Los Angeles Dodgers?

   The injury at least grants an assignable (and treatable) cause for his offensive woes.
   
   If, OTOH, he gets healthy and STILL cannot hit .180 — oy, that’d be bad.

   Failure? That is pretty harsh dude. AJ has had a ruff one since the middle of last year, The Blues knew what they were getting.
   
   The Braves knew he was Damaged Goods.

   Maybe Sergio is right, maybe this was all the better he was at the end of the year last year and no one really noticed it. Maybe he isnt a failure but was like this before he came.You cant really “fail” if your not good to start with

   absolutely yes. the dodgers signed him to the biggest per year deal in dodger history and what do they get?? maybe 15 homers by the end of the year at best and he will hit 215. they signed him to be the big power threat on that team which doesnt hit homers and he cant even do what they paid him to do. now because he cant hit homers the dodgers season is lost. jeff kent has 8 homers and is leading the team. joe torre needs some magic

   Why would they do that? That’s just insane because they would be on the hook for his salary. Jones will begin rehabbing and will play a few games for the minor league team for the Dodgers for the rehab assignment. He will not be released and even though he wasn’t hitting he still made the defensive plays on a bad knee. I think that he was injured pretty much for a while and that was causing him to look bad at the plate. Once he’s healthy he’ll begin to hit again. Probably in the .250 range. Right now it’s too soon to tell if it was a failure or not, but I’m going to say with his defensive ability I highly doubt it will become a failure.

   yes,yes he is. Dodgers paid him ALOT of money to bring power to the lineup but he hasnt done that. now that he’s injured, he can’t even be on defensively. dodgers just flushed down money right down ther toilet.
