Do you think she looks a lot better? do you think she should have stayed the same?

If she shaved her head, she could play Jade in the new “Jade Goody” musical.
You will note that the producers of the show are annoyed because they wanted her to still look like a dog for the semi finals. ( which I find absolutely disgraceful).
It looks like my predictions will come true- that this vulnerable woman ( who allegedly has learning difficulties) will be damaged by her brief brush with “fame”.
I do think she looks very nice though, and I wish her every success. I just hope she has got a close friend to look after her interests or she will be left a mental and emotional wreck by it all.
Yes, it’s the done thing to neaten up a bit after coming in from the street. Yes, she looks good. Phase one was the ugly duckling with beautiful swan’s voice stage. She finished phase one successfully. Now it’s time to move on to phase two.
If it makes her feel good, it was the right thing. She looks fine either way. She is the walking analysis of the phrase, “Never judge a book by its’ cover.” You go, girl.
Yeah I think she looks quite a lot better for the makeover. I don’t see why there would ever be any ’should’ or ’shouldn’t’ regarding the issue, it’s totally up to her if she wants to get her hair cut and have beauty treatments.
How much of her hairiness has been eliminated? Has the beauty therapist blabbed all details yet?
I mean, it’s not like she’s gone for some ridiculous Hollywood nip-tuck-botox treatment, she just looks like a presentable and highly respectable middle-aged lady, of the sort you’d find in any church or on the parish council.
Whereas before, she looked like the sort of “lady” you’d find on a park bench swigging from a 3-litre bottle of cider.
To the person who said “she is just an average day person with an undiscovered talent” – well now she DOES look pretty average, whereas before she looked horrendous.
She is not someone who previously took pride in or cared about her appearance, but she has every reason to do so now and has obviously taken advice on the subject. She is treating BGT as a talent show, not a freak show, so she is playing up her strengths rather than her weaknesses.
Whether you think the makeover is worthwhile must surely depend on whether you think she’s just a novelty act (unkempt plain Scottish woman can sing!! ZOMG ROFL!!!) or actually a good singer who can make it professionally AS a singer, and not just “Susan Boyle the singing freak”.
This was a good idea, they haven’t gone overboard. They’ve kept her hairstyle the same, just neatened her up a bit with some major eyebrow work. She looks very nice. I have to sympathise with the eyebrows thing because if I don’t do mine I look like Denis the Menace.
I would have stayed the same if i was her to make a statement that i do not have to conform to what society expects, yes she looks better but i hope she truly wanted this new look and hasn’t done what was ‘expected’.
She does look nice, but either way it isn’t her looks that matter so much as her voice. She gives people chill bumps when she sings. That is rare. Her voice and Yanni’s music should be combined. Roy Orbison wasn’t much to look at either, and had one of the best voices on the planet. And look at Lyle Lovitt.
She got her hair dyed and her eyebrows plucked – she said it was about time after seeing herself on telly. Big deal really, as long as she wanted it, that’s fine – I think she has found the confidence to do it after the POSITIVE coverage she has had, not the negative. Why would she stay the same? if like she said, SHE wasn’t happy with what she saw? I might have a different view if she’d done the whole 10 years younger thing and had surgery etc in her words she’s ’spruced’ herself up a bit and good for her!
she does like a lot better, but Still think that she was brill the way she was. I really loved her on ‘Britain’s got Talent’ and lot many other people I laughed at her when she walked on to the Stage:(.
Apart from the fact that I didn’t think she was going to go for the make-over idea (why wouldn’t any woman really?) I have no problem with her enhancing what she’s got. However, I don’t think she looks that different really – UK ‘makeovers’ never come up to those done in the States – now they KNOW how to do a makeover lol.
But good luck to her – too much celebrity is based on looks these days ….. although Jade was no oil-painting after all!!! With respect.
Yeah, she looks good. I like the way she isn’t completely changed into some unrecognisable clone of all the other popstars, she still looks like Susan Boyle, just smartened up a bit.

I have good days, and bad days!
I think its pretty perfectic that they’re complaining about it.
She should get prettier every show because she’s already won it.
