Every state writes their own rules. To see what your state has to say about it, go to their web site. To find any states web site, google the name of the state and DMV; for California google either “CA DMV” or “Calif DMV” or “California DMV”. It will be one of the first three hits. The ‘dmv.org’ hit that shows up is also very good. Good luck.

‘fraid so. I you fail and are unable to retake the test before your theory expires you have to take, and pass, both the theory and hazard perception again before you can book another driving test. The theory test has now gone up to 50 questions and you have to get 43 correct. Suggest you get lots of practice between now and then so you pass your driving test first time. Good luck
