2010 Australian Open Men’s Predictions — Roger Federer FTW!

The Australian Open starts tomorrow! In this video FYB offers our predictions for the men’s side of the draw. We’re anticipating a Roger Federer vs. Novak Djokovic semifinal on the top half of the draw and an Andy Roddick vs. Rafael Nadal semi in the bottom half.

We think Federer and Nadal are going to get through to the final, setting up another epic showdown. Last year’s Australian Open final went to five sets. Despite Nadal’s win over Federer, it was Fed who went on to have the better year while Nadal struggled with injuries.

This year we predict Federer takes out Nadal in 5 sets. Federer isn’t plagued by the back problems he had early last year and Rafa’s status is still somewhat up in the air. Is he fully recovered from his knee and ab injuries?

Regardless, it’s going to be a great tournament!

    How can this cretin write off Murray “I don’t trust him”. Murray is an awesome hard court player and has proved this by NOW making two seperate grand slam finals. This guys logic is embarrasing and when talking about Murray and claiming that Murray wax essentially a poor grand slam player he seems to have overlooked the US open final of ‘08. This is infurating. Federer should win today but I think it will be in 5 sets. 6-2 3-6 6-7 6-4 8-6

    You must be blind, Andy was 2 sets (6-3) (7-6) and (3-0) up in the third when nadal gave up. Get your facts straight before posting, or you’ll look like an idiot.

    I think he lied when he said he was on the Australian open website he was on a betting site picking all the favorites. Anyone can predict this, tell us who is going to be a surprise or could be. I bet on Cilic and Henin at the start of the tournament you didn’t even mention Cilic. Nadal getting to the final was a poor pick I think considering his draw.

    wouldnt say badly since davydenko has beaten fed the last 2 times they met, and daveydenko took a great set off him
